5 easy tip to change your lifestyle into a Green Goddess

What would it take for you to change your entire lifestyle? All your habits when it comes to shopping, food, energy, transportation and waste?

Would you manage it, and would you manage it by yourself?

To change your habits to protect the environment is just as challenging as changing your habits when it comes to making a healthy lifestyle with food and exercise. It will be a lot easier with support from someone that understands, and has gone the same way.

In this blog I will give you a head start with 5 easy tip to change your lifestyle.

1. Keep track of your shopping habits

Ask yourself – Do I need this? Yes or No…If Yes, Do I need it right now? Yes or No. If Yes, why do I need it right now? Your answer to this may show you that you don´t actually need it, but you want it, and that is a different story. If you don´t need it, don´t buy it. If you need it, look at nr 2

2. Ask about the products

How is this product made? Is it sustainable, does it come from fairtrade? Does it make me feel good, not just happy, but good about the working conditions, the environment and the economy? Would you accept the conditions this product is made by, in form of toxins, working conditions, payment? Would it be safe for my children or my pet to eat? What is really in it? Plastic, pesticides, unneccesary chemicals?

3. Less plastic

It is very challenging at this time to get rid of all plastic, no matter how much we want, but to be more aware of the products we use which contains plastic/microplastic is a good start. Does your cloths contain micro plastic? Your toothpaste, shampoo, or other cosmetic articles? Can you shop more with bags and without extra plastic? Freeze leftovers in glas instead of plastic bags. Bring your lunch packed in boxes rather than plastic. Bring your own coffe cup on the go.

4. Repair your things

Is it possible to repair your things or do you need to buy a new one? Do you have a person that repairs stuff in your community? Would you like one? Start a protest group or find an existing group that want people to repair more. Maybe someone in your neighbourhood would like to start a shop with used products and where you could get everything repaired?

5. Swopping day

A day where you swop cloths, books or other products day. If you are tired of your cloths, someone else would love them, you would save money and production of new cloths all the time. Cloths are one of the things in the world that uses most water, and many of the countries where cloths is produced are facing pollution in and lack of drinking water, such things that we take for granted.
